Windows & Doors
For the windows and sliding doors I went with Andersen 100 series. They are a good compromise between quality, price, and aesthetics. They’re also one of the only affordable (yet not the cheapest quality) window that you can get in black exterior + black interior. With most brands you have to step up to a fiberglass window and that doubles the cost. I priced my same window package in Milgard fiberglass and it was $25,000
I only used standard stock Andersen window sizes. This helps with 3 things: reduces cost, minimizes complexity in ordering, and makes future window replacement simpler. For the size of my windows I think the 100 series are an incredible value
I went with a Low-E 366 coating, Andersen sells it as SmartSun, but the Cardinal link has better info. Andersen also sells a HeatLok coating to reflect interior heat back inside but this coating is known to cause interior condensation and I skipped it.
If you’re looking to step up quality and spend more these are good brands: Marvin, Cardinal, Milgard
My window & sliding door order was $12,959.34, you can see my order sheet HERE
For my exterior doors I went with ThermaTru s8000, and my order HERE. I decided it was worth the extra expense and went for 3x8’ entry doors. The extra light they let in feels worth it
Exterior entry doors: $1,159.32 each
Interior pocket door slabs: $150.67 each
Johnson 1500HD pocket door frames with ball bearings
